We, at authID.ai, are pleased to inform the user that on Thursday, March 27th, 2024, our authentication software Verified will receive a few minor updates to expand its possibilities.
What's New
authid Version 3.11.0 is based on the popular authid Version 3.10.0 If users are familiar with authid Versions, they might review the below new functions and enhancements.
User Onboarding Enhancements:
- Customizable Proof UI - The authID logo on the Proof UI can now be removed upon request. While the logo will remain enabled by default, customers can contact [email protected] to have the logo disabled.
- Updated Error Pages - All error pages have transitioned to a white background, offering a more neutral and less intrusive branding experience.
- New Loading Indicator - We’ve replaced the purple loading indicators with a sleek, blue spinner. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the visual aspect of our service. Expect more customizable elements in the upcoming 4.0 Release targeted for Q2 of 2024.
- Browser Support Update - To ensure a seamless user experience, we have discontinued support for the Firefox browser on Android devices. This decision was made due to the instability of Firefox in granting camera access. Affected users will be guided to switch to a supported browser for uninterrupted service.
- Enhanced Onboarding Process - For clients integrating authID into Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, the onboarding experience now includes inline enrollment during initial signup. This streamlined process significantly reduces the number of user interactions required—by more than 50%—making the onboarding journey onto the authID platform faster and more user-friendly.
Resolved Defects:
- Camera Access Prompt - We’ve fixed an issue where users were not being re-prompted for camera access if they accidentally dismissed the initial camera permission request during the selfie verification process.
- Firefox Compatibility - Addressed and resolved the issue with camera access being unavailable in Firefox across iOS, MacOS, and Windows during Proof transactions.
