# Enroll User Credentials from Selfie Capture

If a Selfie was previously captured, such as for performing a 1:N search, the same data can be used to enroll the user’s biometrics into the authID platform.

Two API calls are required to turn Selfie data into Account Biometric Credential:

* Retrieve **TempId**: Use the <a href="https://id.authid.ai/IDCompleteBackendEngine/Default/AdministrationServiceRest/swagger/index.html#/Administration/EndGetForeignBiometry" target="_blank"> Get Selfie Transaction TempId endpoint</a> to obtain the TempId of the storage location for the captured Selfie data.
* Create Biometric Credential: Pass the retrieved **TempId** to the <a href="https://id.authid.ai/IDCompleteBackendEngine/Default/AdministrationServiceRest/swagger/index.html#/Administration/CreateAccountProofedBiometricCredential" target="_blank"> Create Proofed Account Biometric Credential endpoint</a>. The Selfie stored in the TempId is used to enroll the user’s biometrics.

> 🚧 Selfie Storage will Expire
>
> The data stored in **TempId** expires within *72 hours*. Attempting to enroll account biometrics after the expiration—or when the personally identifiable information (PII) in the **TempId** has been removed—will result in an error.
