Components Updated

  • Identity Portal 3.4.2
  • BioWeb 3.4.2

Enhancements in this Release

  • Document Liveness - authID document-based Identity Verification now includes an option to detect various types of document manipulation attacks applicable to government-issued ID’s. The results of document manipulation detection are available via the Verified API and can be viewed in the Identity Portal. Document Liveness detects the following types of attacks:

    • Printed Copy Attack is detected when a printout is presented to the camera instead of the original document. Applicable mostly to identity card documents.
    • Screen Replay Attack is detected when a camera is pointed at the document image or video being displayed on the screen of another device - desktop or mobile.
    • Photo Replacement Attack detects if an attacker has attempted to replace the portrait image on a physical document with another image.
  • Document Upload controls - the ability for remote users to upload images via BioWeb is now a global option that can be enabled or disabled on a per-tenant basis. This feature is off by default and it is recommended this feature is turned off when using Document Liveness. To enable the document upload option please contact authID support at support@authid.ai.
